The latest U.S. crop progress report showed the countries corn crop harvest at 24% completed and vs last week’s 15% and vs the 5yr average of 27%. Corn mature came in at 86% vs last week’s 73% and vs the 5yr average of 79%. Corn conditions showed the ‘good-to-excellent’ rating decline by 1% to 73%. States such as Illinois, Kansas and Missouri showed the biggest weekly increase with 19%,18% and 18% harvested. States currently in the lead on harvesting are North Carolina and Tennessee with 89% completed whilst states that still lag pace are Michigan, North Dakota and Wisconsin with only 6% harvested as shown in the stacked bar chart below
