The Rand shot higher, weakening more than 50cents against the Dollar, late yesterday afternoon after it was reported on a news website that the Hawks had instructed current Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan to report to its offices tomorrow.  Traders are concerned on whether the Finance Minister could lose his position.  The rand currently trades around the R14/$ mark as shown in the 5min chart below
