This could be a spanner in the works for some grain bears…The Rand weakened  approximately 2% from the grain session close to R14.73/$ after Futuregrowth Asset Management halted additional financing to South Africa’s 6 biggest state companies, who include Eskom, Transnet, National Road Agency, Land Bank of South Africa, Industrial Development Corp and the Development Bank of South Africa.  The lender stated that financing would only continue if it believes that these state companies have resolved appropriate governance.
