South Africa imported 59K t of maize for the week ending September 16^th, all yellow variety corn.  92% Of imports were sourced from Argentina whilst the rest were sourced from Brazil.  Cumulative maize imports has looked good over the past couple of weeks and continues to pick up pace.  Still the cumulative quantity bought lags around 194K t behind the weekly linear projected pace proposed by the NAMC as shown in the graph below
